Sustainable society
At Tranemo we have a deep respect and a strong commitment to the community where our company was founded. We have a long tradition of strong local presence and close engagement in a range of different community-promoting activities.
Local development and community involvement
Through our membership in the non-profit association Tillväxt Tranemo, we are able to help develop and strengthen the municipality of Tranemo by supporting both local associations and the local business community. Our hope is that our involvement will contribute to sustainable and natural growth in the municipality and create good conditions for people and companies to work, operate and collaborate.
By supporting local cultural associations, we also help make events such as festivals, theatre performances and concerts possible. Health and well-being are also close to our hearts. That is why we not only sponsor sports activities for our own employees, but also support local clubs in, for example, skiing, orienteering, gymnastics, ice hockey and football.
Education and innovation
Science and innovation are at the core of everything we do. By collaborating with schools, universities and various social stakeholders, we help young people develop new skills and gain access to future opportunities. We participate in several different projects where we support upper-secondary students from the local area. In addition, we offer internships in cooperation with Textilhögskolan and Textile Academy in Borås.
Collaboration with Chalmers
For many years we have supported young engineers from Chalmers University of Technology in innovative and experimental projects within the framework of the engineering competition Chalmers Formula Student. Tranemo is also a proud partner of Chalmers Solar Team – a student-driven team with the goal of taking part in global competitions with their own solar car powered solely by solar energy.
Support for health and local community development
Tranemo Advanced Workwear has supported the initiative ”Liv och rörelse i Länghem”, a local project aimed at developing the sports area in Länghem into an inclusive and accessible activity space for people of all ages and with different levels of physical activity.
The project includes, among other things, the development of an outdoor gym and a motor skills track that create opportunities for varied full-body training and daily physical activity.
By supporting this initiative, Tranemo Advanced Workwear contributes to improved public health, increased social inclusion and long-term community development. The project is part of a broader vision to further develop the area with more facilities in the future and thereby strengthen the conditions for an active and sustainable life in the local community.
Support for social sustainability in Tranemo
Tranemo Advanced Workwear has also supported the project Centralen, a long-term initiative with the goal of creating a modern and inclusive meeting place for the whole of Tranemo.
Centralen brings together important community functions – such as a library, hotel, restaurant and public meeting spaces – in a single location by Lake Tranemosjön, while also helping to make the lake more accessible for both residents and visitors.
Through its support for Centralen, Tranemo Advanced Workwear contributes to social sustainability, local development and to strengthening Tranemo’s attractiveness as a place to live, work and visit. The project promotes collaboration between the municipality, local businesses and residents and creates a shared meeting place for culture, tourism and community engagement, while also contributing to a long-term, vibrant local economy.
