Where can you buy Tranemo products?
We mainly sell our products through retailers and have an extensive network of partners throughout Sweden and Europe.
Can the flame protection in your clothes be washed away?
No, it cannot.
The flame protection is inherent, which means that the material’s flame-resistant properties are built into the fibre structure before it is spun into yarn. Because the flame protection is woven into the fabric, it can never be washed out or worn away. We never add any chemical flame-retardant treatments afterwards to our flame retardant garments.
Do you sell PFAS-free flame retardant workwear?
We do. We have removed PFAS from all of our fabrics where it is possible and our range is now 97% PFAS-free.
Several of our customers require oil-repellent protective clothing or protection against O-xylene and butanol. At present, we have not found any PFAS-free solution to achieve sufficient protection for these customers, which currently makes it impossible to completely phase out PFAS from our protective clothing. We are working hard to find a solution for this as well.
