Apex
APEX provides protection in work situations where chemical splashes are a concern, allowing you to stay safe without needing a full chemical suit. The material in the garments is a 300 g/m² dope-dyed Aramid, which not only passes the tests for acid and alkali according to EN13034, but also for aromatic hydrocarbons and alcohol.
The dope-dyed Aramid makes the fabric withstand lots of industrial washes without bleaching. At the same time the Aramid fibre is resistant to many chemicals. APEX also works great when working with molten zinc, since the degradation temperature in the fabric is higher than the melting point of zinc. The zinc does not run off but does not burn holes in the garment either and can be removed mechanically as quickly as possible to avoid the risk of getting burned. A perfect alternative in the absence of textiles where zinc runs off.
Several of the protective garments are lined with an extra layer of fabric in the front, which increases the level of protection even further. Also, some of the trousers are provided with shoe protection and extra reinforcements against chemical splashes down at the front of the legs.
